Falling in love with wedding photography
If you had asked me a year ago - and people did - if I thought I would ever be a wedding photographer, I would have said “No Way.” “They are too stressful, its so much work, what if I miss something” - but in reality, it was just fear. Fear of the not being good at it and fear of not being able to make it in this wedding photography business. However, after having some rough things happen in my personal life (you can read about that here, if you would like), I put on my big girl pants and decided to dive on in. And I am so happy I did!
I have fallen in love the stories of how my couples have met and they have inspired me to take amazing photographs. Everything at a wedding is beautiful - the people are all dressed up, the venue is all dressed up, and its a great party - so of course, I would be inspired. Plus, there is an added bonus of getting to travel around this beautiful state of Colorado and admire its natural beauty.
The best part of diving into wedding photography for me is that it has forced me to be a better photographer. It has inspired me to learn some of the things I had been putting off for a long time. Competition is a good thing because without it, many people would get lazy. (myself included sometimes)
I have fallen in love with wedding photography for its beauty and for everything it is inspiring me to become as a photographer. The images I have created make me proud of what I do and keep me wanting to learn more. The couples I meet, have incredible love stories, and I want to be there to capture the memories. I want to tell their stories! I want to keep learning to be a great business woman and an awesome photographer.
